You will experience the city life of Dhaka during this whole day tour. We visit Sadarghat (waterfront), Pink Palace, Shakari Bazar (Hindu Street), Dakeswari Temple, the Red Fort, Dhaka University campus, New Market, Star Mosque, Armenian Church. Lunch in a famous old Dhaka’s biriyani house, or similar.
Pick up from convenient and drive to Old Dhaka.
Sightseeing starts with a walk through the narrow alleys and streets of Shakari Bazaar to enjoy seeing the lifestyle of Old Dhaka.
We go next to the Pink Palace, which used to be the Nawab’s Palace. It has now become an interesting. Museum.
Visit the vibrant Sadarghat (Boat Station) There you will see and experience how people of Bangladesh travel to other parts of Bangladesh by boat. We also visit the Star mosque and Armenian Church.
You will visit the 11th century Dakeswari temple, built by Raja Balal Sen, It is the National Hindu Temple of Bangladesh.
The Red Fort, which is not been completed, originates from 15th century, built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb by his general Shaista Khan.
Have lunch in a local restaurant.
Drive to Dhaka University Campus and walk around to see the beautiful architecture, which is a medley of British & Mughal influences. We also visit the National Language Monument.
Take a rickshaw ride to New market and see how the local people make their bargains. Note the shopkeepers, and visit artists putting colourful block work on fabrics. Also visit the Vegetable Market.
Next we drive to see the magnificent Parliament building, designed by famous architect Louis I Kahn.
Start on the drive back to your hotel.
Arrive at the hotel, and drop off. End of service.
