Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh besides the Buriganga River since 1608 and is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Lalbagh Fort- is an incomplete early 17th-century Mughal fort complex that stands before the Buriganga River in the southwestern part of Dhaka and is the key attraction for all travelers. Nawab Abdul Gani’s Ahsan Manzil known as Pink Palace set an iconic mark for tourists for a long time. The historical remains of Armenian traders in Dhaka belong to the Armenian Church the graveyard is a pleasant place to visit in old Dhaka. Mirza Gulam Pir’s Star Mosque near the Armenian Church will excite you with its mesmerizing interior. The mosque has ornate designs and is decorated with motifs of blue stars. Dhaka is the city of festivals. The Bengali New Year known as Pohela Boishakh is celebrated with a wide range of cultural representations of Bengal. On this day, people wear traditional dresses and eat traditional food to welcome the New Year. The musical events and giant colorful statues of animals are used for the rally in the Shahbagh area. This is a significant occasion to attend for the festival and culture lovers. Timing and assembling for the places are flexible, it could be changed because of traffic during the tour.

There could be incredible traffic in Dhaka. Sometimes you have to wait a long time without moving in every block of the road.

A rickshaw ride is possible for small groups of 6 persons.

Bengali local food is spicy in nature. Biriyani & Khichuri made of Rice, meat and special spices are the famous food of old Dhaka.

Modest clothes are required to visit any mosque. Shorts are not allowed for the purpose; women must cover their hair and arms with clothes.

Ahsan Manzil and National Museum is closed on Thursday and opens Fridays after 3:00 pm. Lalbagh Fort is closed on Sundays and open on Mondays after 2:00 pm. Ahsan Manzil and Lalbagh Fort are also closed on government holidays. But you can have an outside view of these places.
